Privacy

Last updated September 15, 2026

The short version: your photos and data live on blkhive's own servers, not a big-tech cloud. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads based on it, and we don't use it to train AI models.

What we collect

How photos are handled

Every photo is re-saved on our server when you upload it, which removes the GPS location and camera details hidden inside it. Photos are reviewed before other members see them.

Business documents

Business licenses and photo IDs are stored encrypted, can only be opened by a blkhive moderator, and are deleted as soon as the application is decided. Every time a moderator opens one, it is logged. We never scan faces.

Vetting research

When a business applies, our server checks public information about that business: its website and social pages, public search results and state business records. This research runs on our own server, including the AI that summarizes it. The report is seen only by moderators.

Who we share with

Nobody, except: other members see what you choose to post publicly or share with them; a moderator sees what's needed to keep the hive safe; and we share information when the law requires it (for example, reporting child exploitation to NCMEC). Our site is reached through Cloudflare, which carries traffic to our server but does not store your account data.

Your choices

Age

blkhive is only for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
